Nowhere to hide: Wunda Chair Edition

Too often, we as instructors end up using the Wunda chair for three or four basic exercises as an afterthought or when more substantial apparatus isn’t available. This version of the classical chair happens to be one of the best places for creating strength and lift in the body, so let’s find the grit and sweat in the detail. We will look at the technical elements of two groups of related exercises to arouse a quality of movement and strength adaptation unique to the chair.
Chris draws on his experiences in health and movement therapy to passionately educate and empower his clients to understand their bodies. Ultimately, his goal is to develop a connection and sensitivity to the body so that his clients can move freely and feel better in their daily lives. Currently studying to be an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Chris has also trained through Polestar Pilates, and been a Polestar mentor in the past, and completed Franklin Method training.
Nicholas has over twenty years of professional experience and has studied the Pilates method extensively and has operated the Movement Refinery for almost two decades. He is recognised across Australia as a source of knowledge for all, but particularly for those looking to bridge into the classical teaching methodology.
