Pilates for Stress and Anxiety, led by Darwin-based Pilates professional Katie Crane. We don’t have to have a long conversation with our clients to realise that excessive stress plays a role in many peoples lives. But did you know that emotional and mental stress will often be presented in the body as pain or dis-ease, and left unchecked can not only become chronic, but potentially life threatening. Katie will discuss the physicality of stress and give you actionable practices to introduce to your clients that will make a positive impact on their stress, both in studio and at home.
Katie Crane has been a Pilates practitioner for 2 decades after Pilates improved her life dramatically from a disabling spinal condition that had modern medicine stumped. She empowers people to learn to move with joy and how to manage complicated conditions by making better lifestyle choices and ultimately taking charge of their own body. Katie is an advocate of natural and traditional health care practices and she interweaves ancestral wisdom with modern beliefs to create holistic wellness packages for her clients blending movement, diet and mindful lifestyle habits for sustained wellness. She is a Meditation practitioner, reiki master, integrative health coach, masseuse, Pilates educator, owner of sister businesses in Darwin, Northern Territory, Encore Pilates Studio and Sanctuary By The Sea Health Retreat, founder of Pilates Pro Academy and producer of The Pilates Lounge Podcast.
